First Aid for Sport

First Aid for Sport (7 hours or 14 hours)

Unit One and Unit Two

This Two-Day course is accredited by the Qualification & Curriculum Authority for inclusion in the National Qualifications Framework.  It is recognised by most Sports governing bodies and is the First Aid course of choice for those involved in the Sports industry.  It is listed by the Learning Skills Council, enabling Schools and Colleges to apply for funding to cover all of the costs. (Please ask for details).

The course is presented as Two Units of Learning. The first unit (Day One - 7 hours) is available as a stand alone course 'Sports First Aid Emergency Action', whilst the addition of Unit Two; 'Sports First Aid Incident Management' completes the full course as required by the sports bodies.  A Certificate valid for three years is awarded in the case of both courses.

Unit Two includes discussion, exploration and guidance with regard to 'return to play' decisions that are so important in sports injury.  This is an important and unique feature of this course that is appreciated by coaches and trainers in all aspects of sports.
