David Matthews  MA, RN, Cert Ed, RNT, MIfL.

David Matthews has been a Registered Nurse for 40 years and for 20 years has worked as a Senior Lecturer in Nursing at Universities in the North West of England.  He has been a fully trained member of one of the on-call Emergency Services for 25 years.  He now works as an Independent Nurse Consultant to the NHS and the Private Health Sector and as a fully approved  First Aid Training Provider.

He is an outdoor enthusiast, qualified as a Mountain Leader, spending as much time as work allows climbing the great mountain ranges of the world.  He has been involved in the health care training of international expedition leaders, and has been involved in expeditions to the high mountain ranges of the world, including first ascents of peaks in the Himalaya.  This background is important experience for providing Outdoor First Aid Courses.
